Introduction to

Background:

The advertising is a form of masive comunication with the purpose of sell different products or disseminate a specific information at the population, in this way, the advertising can influence in the ideas of consumption, beauty standars, moral thoughts, between others. In Chile, all the people has minimum one television in their houses, so the probability that one consumer it seems to be influenced for the advertising, are huge.

Problem:

The advertising in Chile is based in european-united states stereotypes that the chilean population it doesn't reach for natural characteristics and our native origin of the same country. This problem is observable in the products related to the fashion or the style where the person who represent the clothes which the industry search to sell, is blond, with blue eyes, skinny, etc. If we contrast the people who lives in Chile and who is watched in TV, the difference is obvious. Probably this can cause a bad self-esteem, a constant need of products that it doesn't are really needed, the constant search of an image of us that we doesn't reach, etc.

Proposed solution:

The type of advertising that is principal in this country has to change to something more particulary that consider our origins and native characteristics of the actual population. If we are convenced that the way that is doing advertising at the moment is wrong, we have to inform about and don't let others feeling bad because don't reach that kind of prototypes.

Hi Stephanie, yes I don't have a problem. Nicolas has 22 years old and he's studying engineering in other university but I know him about the last 10 years ago approx.

Nicolas is very responsible and do his best in anything that he wants, actually, he is doing a business about a pet shop. He likes to bicycling, we play some pool sometimes. He is very independent and likes to go out a lot, so you wont see him in your house at least in the day.

The only negative thing that I can say is very square-minded in his form of beeing, it makes him a structured person so is really close at his thoughts.

BIODATA

Good morning, my name is Nicole Beni and I write this letter with the intention of obtain the scholarship related to the conference of psychology carry out in Cuba. At present, I am studying my 4th semester of psychology in the University of Chile, well-know for being one of the best universities in Latin América. About this, into my career, I was assistant of the Psychology course, where we work different formative aspects from ourselves related to the course and the career, for example working in write a book, in addition to develop evaluative things in the reports, test or exposition that the students have to realize. This same experience it motivate me to be assitant of another courses in the career like psychopatology, psyquiatry between others related to the clinical area.

SEMESTER 2 - 2018 INTERMEDIATE A

Change to my study programme

Hello everyone, today i'm going to talk about my career and what I think of the experience that I had until now, about the curriculum, teaching methods, faculty, among others.

In my career (psychology), the curriculum and the teachers are great in so many things, the programs and methods that they have for their classes are very ilustrative, but, however, the academic workload is so much that the learning process of every concept and subject it's affected. For me it was very difficult to learn everything and I have to discart some lectures, classes, among others. Now this is what I experience in my second year, I don't know how it will be in the future, but for what I listened, the same career it doesn't have many moments to practice the things that we learn. This remains me that in ours third year we have to choose optatives that allow us to specialise in what laboral area do you want, what is great, but, your options are limitated according to your grades or the number of optatives for semester.

Now about the faculty is okey, it has everything that it suppose to had, although I have to criticise that the library is so small, doesn't have any books that I had to need in the career and for finish off it doesn't quiet. Now about the campus, this it shows very destroyed, it have constructions everywhere, a lot of zones are closed and it is progressive losing their green areas.

My personal opinion to some topics

What is your opinion about owning an exotic pet?

From my perspective, I don't like the term "owning", for me the animals are partners wich deserve love, security and even more if they want to. That's the point, I don't want to be superior than other life or limitate/obligate they space to be with me. At the same way, I will dislike even more "own" an exotic animal who it doesn't have why to be in a cage, it doesn't born to have a miserable life.

What is your opinion about killing stray dogs to prevent sanitary problems and animal over population?

I personally believe that it is a clumsy solution for that because it doesn't work with the basal problem of the irresponsible reproduction. Even if the goverment send to kill this stray dogs, the problem will persist. Also, most of the dogs in the streets are abandon so, the problem isn't the dog, rather are us and an responsible education. 

What is your opinion about legalizing abortion in some cases?

How I said before, for me it doesn't have sense to give someones life for give it to him a miserable life. So, if we have the option to avoid that with the abort, why we don't take it? further if it is a personal decision or if it implicates both parents, we have to think how it will be the other future life passing the nine months and the reasons why we should take that decision. If a mother doesn't want to have a baby, why should we obligate her? Leaving behind all the heavy reasons like violation, fail of the anticonceptives, invalidity and others. Also, is ridiculous to worry if the fetus is suffering of something in the womb if we didn't think in this others things.

Someone I'd like to meet

Hello everyone, how is it going? Today I'm going to talk about a person which personally I'd like to meet. Sincerely, I don't think much about this because I see the famous person in a very distant way. Also if I wanted to meet someone on my own family

So, in the hypothetical case that I would like to meet someone, I think that it would be Elizabeth Woolridge (vocalist of "Lana del Rey") I suppose. Lana del Rey is one of my favourite singer when we talk about of femenine voice, personally I don't listen too much of this kind of music (pop in general) and is that why I had a surprise when I enjoy her music. She was born in United States and one of her principal characteristics is her patriotism and love for her country. For me, this is the thing that I like less of her, because United states isn't the best country to love, don't you thing?. However, the thing that I admire most of her is that she reachs to reflect in her lyrics in combination with the music a very sensual way to describe dark feelings, like sadness, drogadiction, in others. Actually, I know her name for the first time when she sang about lose and miss a true love, which for her it was in that time the alcohol. Other characteristic of her personality is her kindness (what I can see in different interviews) and the proximity that she can reach with her fans.

Postgraduated studies

Hello everyone, today I'm going to talk about of what kind of courses I have interest to take in the future as a postgrade (more of that I think to take it in the past like a career but for different aspects I prefer study psychology what I like it a lot too).

Okay, through my life always I have been nearby to the art, I drawed a lot, I was a tattooist, I painted too but I never studied officially a subject about, always was something autodidact. In the same way, I will like to formalize my knowledge and practice with a course oriented in the theory and history of art. That is something independent of my actual career of psychology, but in other way I can complement this in the future, in classes that I could make or in an investigation way. So, this subject I preffer to study in a presencial mode, because I consider is the best way to learn something, but I don't really sure about to take it in my country or in somewhere else. I supose if I have the opportunity, I would travel and study in other country, hopefully some country in Europe that this could alow me, maybe, to work in the same place doing classes.

My future job

Hello everyone, today I'm going to talk about my ideal job in the future, considering my previous experiences and my own wishes.

I had many and different jobs in the past, the most of that were in the sale area where you have to convence the people to buy things that they really don't need. So, the job that I will like to have in the future it could be more independent, without a superior controlling you and away to the retail area. In the same way, I don't have trouble if it is outdoor or indoor, only if it leave me the time and money enough to travel around the world. I guess that it will be the best way because if my own job take me to another countries to work I will have to leave my family and friends for obligation, not for fun, but I study psychology so, this case it will not be. 

I was thinking a lot of what kind of major I will take, but only when I'm in my third year of career I will have bigger knowledge about. Anyways, the areas that it allow me to do the things I talk before it will be the clinical area principally, but I personally will like to dedicated in the pedagogy area in my same university.

My best friend

Hello everyone, today with the intention of letting you know something about me, I will talk about my best friend, Nicolás from the highschool (both are in the university now). It is really many years ago, it is like about... nine years ago since we have gone to each other's houses and talk about everything. We met each other when I changed of school in 8th grade, from a municipal to a particular school and both of us, in that time and now, were very hard working students in the class so that was what united us as friends. One of my best memories with him is when I gave him a surprise birthday party in 2016 and he was happier than I had ever seen him before and we had a very great day and night with friends of both of us. I consider him as a friend because I know that I can trust him and he supports me if I am bad or if I need from him anything I can call him anytime, the only problem is that we are very busy persons so it is very complicated to keep in touch.

My favourite tv show (spoiler alert)

Hello everyone, a long time has passed from the last post I wrote. How is it going? Today for retake activities, I like to talk about my favourite show in TV, although I don't watch a lot of it, I have some series that I enjoy on the internet. One of this is the serie "Mr. Robot" that is some kind of anarquist group that hacks the economy in the united states at the moment that the protagonist, Elliot Alderson, realize that he lives in a sick society of extreme socioeconomic inequality in the different social class. Elliot, however, is a junkie of the morphine, expert in the hacks skills, which have a serious personality disorder with his dead father. 

My favourite episode was the thirth one of the second season which Elliot, in the attempt to avoid the personality disorder, takes a lot of the drug Adderall, which allow he to see the surrounds much happier while everything falls down (he is in prison, many people die, etc)

I really, really enjoyed to watch "Mr. Robot" because it takes the socioeconomic and psychological problematics to an extrem for work with it in a different perspectives and relations. The complex of this serie and the plotwist inside are very impressive and let you think about.

The concerts that I have been

Hello everyone, today I am going to talk about the concerts that I have been until now. One of the concerts that I principally enjoy was the Linkin Park concert in the movistar arena in 2017 because that was my favourite band when I was a teenager, they comfort me in my most difficult moments, so see them in person was amazing, that experience of seeing the band that you always listen to and generally you feel in the distance is so strange and unbelievable. Another of the concerts that I have been and of course I really enjoy, was Muse in 2015 and Radiohead in the last month. Althought I always go to different events, this are only the biggest ones. If I had more money I would have gone to the festival Lollapalooza this year that has bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lana del Rey, Zoe, between others, or Deftones that is coming in may or Roger Waters of Pink Floyd in november of this year.

My ideal country to visit

Hello everyone, today I will talk about the country I will like to visit what is New Zealand, this is because my family, in the last trip, go there and the tell me very things about that leave me really amazed. One of the things was the invernal weather like the south of Chile that I always love. Another thing is the quality of life that is so much better than here, in New Zealand, the government is worry about the quality of the education, the connection with the environment, between others.

Personally I don't know anything else more than what my family tell me, because I don't have the time to read or search about, but I will like to do an exchange some year in the university of New Zealand, taking advantage of the agreement of this two countries/universities and because I believe that will be an amazing opportunity for my personal development. Posterior this, I don't know, maybe stay to live if I like the country can be an option.
